Tai Chi: The Way to a Healthier Body & Mind
Tokyo Tai Chi Club
Megumi Shiatsu Clinic initiated the Tokyo Tai Chi Club as part of our local community’s health promotion activity. Members of this club gather once a week to learn and practice Tai Chi Chuan together.
Beginners are more than welcome to join us. Don't worry if you’re an amateur or think you’re not good at memorizing movements. This is a safe and supportive environment where you can take your sweet time and learn at your own pace. It's also fine to take a break whenever you feel like your body needs one.
We welcome you to join us in learning this ancient mindfulness practice in moving your body and rejuvenating your mind! Tai Chi is highly recommended for those who would like to:
- Prevent neck and shoulder stiffness or relieve back pain
- Increase healthy life expectancy
- Improve body balance and stability
- Strengthen legs and lumbar (lower back)
- Start a healthy exercise routine
- Relax his or her mind and body
At the Tokyo Tai Chi Club, we start every session by warming up our body with easy stretches and the “Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa” - Eighteen Forms (a Chinese health exercise) before proceeding to learn the Twenty-Four Form Tai Chi Chuan.
With rich experiences in teaching at various sports clubs and cultural centers, our instructor will carefully and skillfully guide you from the very start of the training regardless of your level!
